About
Kelly Bado

Kelly Bado is an acclaimed multilingual artist whose music blends African roots, soul, pop, and global influences. Originally from Côte d'Ivoire and now based in Manitoba, Kelly has built a career marked by artistic innovation and cultural pride. Her new album Belles Âmes, releasing May 2, 2025, was produced by two-time Grammy nominee and seven-time Juno Award winner Brian "Sweetwesty" West (Nelly Furtado, Sia, Maroon 5), and channels the vibrant energy of Angélique Kidjo, the soulfulness of Yuna, and the inventive spirit of Stromae.

In a major industry milestone, Kelly became the first Black Francophone artist of African descent to sign with Odd Dolls Records, a new women-owned anglophone label from the Manitoba prairies. Her global journey continues in 2026 with her first English debut EP, produced by three-time Grammy Award winner Chin Injeti, promising a bold continuation of her signature fusion of tradition and modernity.

Kelly has performed alongside celebrated artists like Alessia Cara, Walk Off the Earth, Marie Mai, and Angélique Kidjo. She is a passionate ambassador for Francophone and African cultures, and her dedication has earned her notable accolades including Francophone Artist and Global Artist of the Year at the 2021 Western Canadian Music Awards, and the 2024 Art and Culture Award at the Noir et Fier Gala. With her powerful vocals, genre-defying sound, and inspiring message, Kelly Bado continues to break barriers and connect audiences around the world.
