In this matinee the duo will be cover some well-known cover songs as a narrative of the past year, and breaking into their own songbook as well. Also joining Jay & Jo will be Jesse Brown.

Hailing from the Saskatchewan prairies, Janaya and Jolissa Trudel pair up to form a vibrant folk-roots sister-duo, embodying both joy and depth in one double-batted swing. Reminiscent of Nickel Creek, First Aid Kit, and the nostalgia of Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell, their soul-stretching lyrics, homelike sound, and airtight harmonies are a force to be reckoned with. Since the successful release of their debut album “Grounded and Light” in 2017, Jay & Jo have toured Canada from coast to coast, taken part in Breakout West's showcase at Americanafest in Nashville in 2019, and been crowned “Roots Artist of the Year” at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards, 2019. In the midst of the pandemic and great hush of the arts, they released their hopeful album “Victory” in July of 2020 and have been finding every way they can to share it since.

This show will be an exclusive listen of the brand new songs that, due to the restrictions, have never before been heard live in a concert setting. Lighthearted and thoughtful, this intimate show in a beloved venue will surely be a buoyant moment in what has been a difficult year for many. Come enjoy, feel, and begin to experience the community that music can bring again!

There will be no live stream for this performance.
